About the CompanyHoldstone Group is expanding its construction capabilities as part of a long-term plan to build a vertically integrated construction platform across the Florida Gulf Coast. The company has an established operational base and is expanding into construction management, remodeling, and general contracting with a focus on scalable systems, disciplined execution, and long-term growth. We are not building a traditional small contractor. The objective is to build a process-driven construction company capable of scaling across multiple Florida markets through strong operations, repeatable project execution, and strategic vertical integration.About the RoleWe are hiring an experienced construction leader to serve as Director of Construction for Holdstone Construction. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for construction execution, permitting compliance, field standards, subcontractor accountability, and project performance. The ideal candidate has extensive experience running residential and/or light commercial construction projects end-to-end and wants to help build a scalable construction platform.ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day construction operations as the company's licensed construction executive with active supervision responsibilities.Oversee permitting, inspections, code compliance, and field execution.Build and manage subcontractor networks.Establish project controls, schedules, documentation standards, and closeout procedures.Review estimates, scopes, budgets, change orders, and project risks.Ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to Holdstone's quality standards.Build repeatable systems that allow the company to scale beyond individual projects.QualificationsMust hold or be able to obtain an active Florida CBC, CGC, or CRC contractor's license prior to start.Proven experience managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.Strong understanding of permitting, inspections, code compliance, and subcontractor management.Experience managing budgets, schedules, customer expectations, and project profitability.Ability to build systems and processes, not just react to problems.Strong judgment around project risk, margins, documentation, and quality control.Commitment to hands-on leadership and operational accountability.Company DirectionHoldstone is building a platform, not just completing projects. This role is critical to expanding into full construction scope, improving margins through vertical integration, creating a repeatable and scalable construction model, and building the operating foundation for future growth across Florida markets.Success in This Role Looks LikeProjects are completed on time and on budget.Gross margins are consistent and improving.Subcontractors are reliable and accountable.Permits and inspections run smoothly.Field issues are identified early and resolved quickly.Systems are documented and repeatable.The company becomes less dependent on any one person to execute well.CompensationBase salary: $110,000-$140,000, depending on experience and role scope. Performance-based bonus tied to project profitability, execution, and operational milestones. Long-term incentive opportunity may be available after proven fit and performance.
