Manageable Workload: See approximately 10 patients per shift, ensuring you can dedicate ample time to each patient's needs. Seamless Technology: Leverage your familiarity with Epic, the EMR system used at our facility. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive emergency and urgent care services to adult and pediatric patients. Conduct thorough evaluations, develop treatment plans, and order necessary diagnostics. Perform essential procedures as needed within your scope of practice. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, including nurses and other healthcare professionals, to optimize patient care. Admit patients for further evaluation or treatment when necessary. Function as the house physician during the day, rounding on inpatients and managing their care needs. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic EMR system. Qualifications for Success: Board certification in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) with extensive experience in emergency medicine and hospital medicine. Valid Missouri medical license to practice medicine without restrictions. Current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and ATLS to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
