General Cleaners- Memphis, TN (1127) (Custodial- ESI)

General Cleaner Position: General Cleaner Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Must be available to work two Saturdays per month. Job Summary: General Cleaners are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of assigned areas. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure the facility is well-maintained and presentable at all times. Key Responsibilities: Sweep, dust, dust mop, damp mop, and vacuum floors Extract carpets; strip and wax floors Remove trash and handle recycling Clean and sanitize restrooms and locker rooms Clean desks, walls, furniture, doors, entry glass, interior glass, countertops, chalkboards, whiteboards, blinds, and light fixtures Polish areas within 10 feet of building entryways Wash windows Remove snow and ice as needed Perform additional duties as assigned by the custodial supervisor or designee Job Requirements: Strong work history Team-oriented with the ability to follow directions Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Attention to detail and efficiency Reliable transportation Must pass a background check Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma preferred, but not required Previous cleaning experience is a plus Physical & Working Conditions: Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions Frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs Extensive walking and standing throughout the shift Ability to work in varying temperatures, from hot to cold Must be able to meet productivity and service standards Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
