Repairman A - (Bus | Truck / Diesel Maintenance)

We are committed to delivering safe, reliable service that gets our customers to their destinations on time—and we’re looking to hire talented folks with a love of learning to make it all possible.Under the direction of the Superintendent or General Foreman, a Repairman A is responsible for repairing NJ TRANSIT buses for maintenance work.Main FunctionsPerforms all the duties of a Repairman “B” and “C” with normal guidance and supervisionService all road callsPerforms major and minor inspections with normal guidance and supervision including the recording of results and taking corrective action when appropriate to ensure a safe and mechanically sound busPerforms D.O.T. inspections and completes necessary formsPerforms engine tune-ups, repairs, and replaces powertrain components as requiredServices diagnosis, and repairs any problems with heating or air conditioning units, and utilizes EPA mandated equipment and proceduresRemoves, replaces, and/or aligns all body parts and components that are fastened on the bus.
