Under the guidance of the Kitchen Manager, you'll help plan, prepare, and serve meals while maintaining food safety standards and supporting an efficient, team-focused kitchen environment.What You'll Be DoingPreparing and cooking a variety of nutritious meals for clientsAccommodating special dietary needs and restrictionsFollowing all food safety, sanitation, and health regulationsKeeping kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and organizedEngaging with clients during mealtimes to gather feedback and improve meal offeringsReceiving, organizing, and storing food supplies properlyOperating kitchen equipment safely and reporting maintenance issuesMaintaining accurate food prep and storage recordsResponding appropriately to emergencies as neededAttending staff meetings and trainingsRespecting client confidentiality and HIPAA standardsSupporting overall kitchen operations as assigned by the Kitchen ManagerWhat We're Looking For (Preferred Qualifications)Previous cooking experience in a residential facility, healthcare setting, or similar environmentKnowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe chemical useAbility to work well independently and as part of a teamStrong communication, time management, and problem-solving skillsProfessional boundaries and a client-centered mindsetSensitivity to religious, cultural, and dietary differencesKnowledge of HIPAAFood Manager Certification and Food Allergen Certificate preferredMinimum Requirements (must-have)Food Manager Certification and Food Allergen Certificate (or willingness to obtain)High School Diploma or GEDCPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and TB testPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 poundsComfortable using standard kitchen tools and equipmentWhy You'll Love Working HerePaid Time Off (PTO), holiday, and sick timeHealth, Dental, & Vision InsuranceQuarterly bonuses based on KPIsCompany-paid Life InsuranceRetirement planSupportive team and meaningful work that makes a difference
