The Opportunity: BrightBee is looking for paraprofessionals with experience with moderate and severe disabilities for special education. You will be responsible for providing individual and small group support for students with both special and typical learning needs including, but not limited to: the classroom, recess, and lunch area. While hourly pay varies based on assignment and experience required, on average assignments range from $26.50/hr - $29/hr at the starting rate. The more assignments you take and complete, the higher your earning power.Who You Are:An individual with a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and youth along with alignment to our mission of supporting workers, students, and schools while promoting academic success.Related work experience with special needs children or adults, (moderate/severe) required.At least 48 college credit ours in early childhood or similarAssociate's and/or Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or similarReliable transportation and ability to commute to public and charter schools within the applicant region, required.Some prior experience working with K-12 students in educational settings, required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with teachers, students, and school staff.Ability to quickly adapt to varying classroom environments, student needs, and instructional approaches.Dependability and punctuality are vital for fulfilling on-demand job opportunities efficiently.Able to work after school hours (1 - 6 pm.)Bilingual (Spanish) a plusPrior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check, livescan and may need to obtain other necessary testing/clearances.
