We are seeking an experienced Sales & Events Manager to oversee all facets of the Wedding and Special Events Markets. With excellence at our core and a touch of magic in every detail, we create experiences that are authentic, elevated, and unforgettable.EssentialFunctionsPrimary ResponsibilitiesWedding & Social Event Sales LeadershipServe as the principal point of contact for all wedding and wedding-related events, including ceremonies, receptions, rehearsal dinners, welcome gatherings, and ancillary celebrations.Proactively solicit, negotiate, and contract wedding business in alignment with resort revenue goals and brand positioning.Manage all associated group room blocks with precision, ensuring accurate reporting, timely communication, and adherence to contract terms and cutoff dates.Short-Term & Local Event ManagementOversee the booking and coordination of one-day events/small meetings (with less than 12 guestroom nights) scheduled within 45 days of arrival, ensuring efficient turnaround and refined execution.Lead end-to-end event planning for confirmed groups, maintaining the highest standards of detail, communication, and guest satisfaction.SMERF Market DevelopmentCultivate and expand strategic relationships within designated segments to drive group sales and increase market share.Identify new business opportunities and partnerships that reinforce Trailborn Surf & Sound's reputation as a preferred destination for Weddings and Social Events.Prepare and distribute comprehensive Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for all events, ensuring clarity and accuracy for all operational departments.Act as the liaison between clients and internal teams—including Culinary, Banquets, Front Office, and Housekeeping—to ensure flawless event delivery.Manage the billing processes, ensuring timely invoicing, accurate reconciliation, and adherence to Trailborn Accounting policies.Digital Presence & Lead ManagementMaintain, update, and optimize all external event and wedding lead platforms (including The Knot, WeddingWire, and resort-affiliated websites).Curate and provide refreshed site photography, descriptive content, and promotional materials to reflect current offerings and uphold brand integrity.Respond to incoming inquiries with professionalism and urgency, conducting polished site tours and preparing tailored proposals as needed.Maintain resort CRM with updated information on daily, weekly, monthly activities to include accurate account and contact details.QualificationsMinimum of 2–3 years of hotel, resort, and/or event sales experience; prior experience with wedding sales is strongly preferred.Demonstrated expertise in group sales processes, event coordination, and room block management.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to cultivate strong client and vendor relationships.Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with CRM and event-management platforms (e.g., Delphi, Tripleseat, or comparable systems).Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.Physical RequirementsJob requires ability to navigate standing and sitting for long periods of time.BenefitsCompany Benefits and PerksMedical (with company contribution)Dental (with company contribution)Vision (with company contribution)Paid Time Off401(k) (with company match)Sick TimeEmployee Dining DiscountsEmployee Marketplace DiscountsScheduleHospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality– on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Pay Rate$62,000-$70,000Job StatusFull TimeFLSAExemptEqual Employment OpportunityTrailborn is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
