This position will work Monday through Friday (1600 Annual Hours).Learn more about what it’s like to work at the Watson Institute!Employment Type: Full-timeLocation: Bridgeville, PA230 Hickory Grade Road | Bridgeville, PA 15017Supervisor Job ResponsibilitiesParticipation on organizational committees within WISCACoordinate student teacher placements/therapist interns with Program DirectorConduct tours and/or arrange observations in classrooms for parents, students, and other professionals at WISCASupervise WISCA site location which includes oversight on all building policies for safety, working collaboratively with building maintenance, building specific liaisons, and other Watson programsContribute to process of referrals, intakes, and complete intake meetingsFacilitate and contribute to all school-age RR/IEP meetings and the oversight of all related paperwork to maintain legal complianceAttend all team meetings and all scheduled meetings as required and provide related feedback to the team on any areas of concern addressedSupervise classrooms and other exempt and non-exempt staff including but not limited to completing Act 13 yearly for site staff including goal development, observations for mandated staff, and tracking throughout the school yearSupervise classrooms including monitor lesson plans, SDIs, data collection, PBSP, and adherence to WISCA staff policies as well as cleanlinessSupervise site’s strict adherence to established compliance mandates and best practicesSupervise program staff to ensure adherence to established policies and proceduresComplete classroom observations and provide regular, objective, and actionable feedbackFacilitate and maintain professional relationships with LEAs and other community agency partnersCoach and support staff through modeling, feedback, and collaboration to strengthen instructional practice and student outcomesUse clear, concise, and professional language when communicating with staff, families, and district partnersSupervise staff as assignedOther duties as assigned by Program DirectorJob RequirementsMaster’s Degree in Education requiredPA Teaching Certification in Special Education requiredThree years’ teaching experience in special education requiredFive years’ experience with students with Autism preferredPA Supervisory Certificate in Special Education preferredLicensed Behavior Specialist or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst preferredThe essential functions of this position as described herein require the ability to exert moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and brisk walking and which may involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (40 lbs.)The ability to keep up with running children and/or to lift or assist with lifting students is essential; ability to restrain students (when necessary for their safety) of varying weightsMost tasks require oral communication, visual and hearing perception, and the ability to get around the classrooms, cafeteria, gym, campus, etc.Ability to use the strategies of Comprehensive Crisis Management and Ukeru to physically support students for their safety and the safety of othersCurrent PA Clearances – Acts 34, 114, and 151Pre-employment medical examination, including a tuberculosis test, requiredSupervisor Job BenefitsExcellent medical, dental, and vision insurances as well as life and long-term disability, and access to voluntary benefits.403b Retirement Plan with Watson matching employee contributions after 1 year of employment.Access to Tuition Reimbursement to pursue further education and advanced degrees.Qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) programEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) and flexible spending accounts.Apply Now!
