Equity Portfolio Manager

OverviewIdentifies, recommends, and defends individual investments and/or implementation vehicles to improve portfolio outcomes for clients.Primary ResponsibilitiesConduct fundamental bottoms- up research on a variety of companies, analyzing underlying drives, financial metrics, competitors, customers and suppliersMaintain coverage responsibility of assigned industry sectorsCo portfolio management duties of a technology-oriented portfolioPerform administrative tasks as needed for marketing, compliance, and risk purposesRecommend appropriate positions in assigned sectors for various equity strategiesServe as proven investment thought leader for the investment management organizationWork with client-facing colleagues to strengthen their understanding of investment solutionsParticipate in client and prospect meetings to help solidify current relationships and win new businessUnderstand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to managementPromote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brandMaintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicableComplete other related duties as assignedScope Of ResponsibilitiesEducation and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experienceStrong understanding of capital marketsCurrent knowledge of the state of the investment management industryHighly analyticalResearch-driven skill setExperience communicating insights to internal and external stakeholdersExperience mentoring and developing less experienced teammatesExperience working in a team environmentExperience operating effectively within a large organizationNetwork of industry contactsEducation And Experience PreferredAdvanced degreeMinimum of 10 years’ relevant experienceCFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or progressing toward obtaining CFA designationDemonstrated track record of successful investment managementM&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $128,100.00 - $213,500.00 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.Location:Radnor, Pennsylvania, United States of America
