Lead Records Associate
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Lead Records Associate to join our team in Boston, MA. This position is ideal for a seasoned records professional who can independently manage records operations and perform at a lead level. Please note: this role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities. The "Lead" designation reflects the level of expertise and performance expected in executing job duties.The Lead Records Associate will be responsible for maintaining data, records, and files necessary to provide exceptional service to an assigned client team or department. This role plays a critical part in the implementation and management of document control and records management processes throughout the entire information lifecycle, including both physical and electronic records.Job Title: Lead Records AssociateLocation: Boston, MA 02109Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMPay Rate: $28.85 per hourKey ResponsibilitiesEvaluate current active records systems for compliance by conducting inventories and reviewing information retrieval needsCoordinate information creation, receipt, storage, retrieval, and dispositionEnsure the security and preservation of records within records centers and inactive storageApply retention schedules to inactive records in accordance with firm policies and regulatory requirementsPrepare new files in accordance with records system guidelinesRespond to verbal, telephone, written, and email inquiries regarding records requests in a timely and efficient mannerMonitor and actively listen to customer inquiries to provide accurate information and prompt assistanceCollaborate with departments on special information research and retrieval projectsMaintain excellence in customer service and a strong commitment to supporting client needsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsProven experience in records management and document controlRequired proficiency with Iron Mountain systems and Aderant softwareStrong understanding of records retention policies and lifecycle managementExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsProfessional demeanor with a client-focused approachThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced records professional seeking a stable Monday–Friday schedule in a professional environment.
