Avid Bioservices is a leading clinical and commercial biologics CDMO focused on creating innovative solutions to meet the needs of our clients and improve patient outcomes.Your Role:In the role of Sr. Engineer, Production Maintenance, comprehensive support is provided for all manufacturing equipment, encompassing both existing and new installations, serving as the primary point of contact for service and support inquiries. This necessitates a thorough understanding of equipment capabilities and limitations, including the development and implementation of effective service procedures. The Sr. Engineer, Production Maintenance will lead discussions to ensure the timely execution of service and efficient coordination of equipment repairs. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, equipment vendors, and operators to drive process improvements, support manufacturing production equipment maintenance, and maintain adherence to manufacturing standards.Key Responsibilities:Maintaining system and equipment, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and conducting root cause analysesTracking and evaluating critical timelines for service and support and recommend process improvementDeveloping and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and vendor documentationParticipating in inspections/audits and providing written responses as necessaryCapable of overseeing a project from start to finish with little to no supervisionPrepares analysis and reports of proposed changes for new and existing Service Level Agreements (SLA)Provide technical training to Manufacturing OperatorsAssist in Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) investigationsGenerates work requests for on demand issuesUses a variety of tools and equipment associated with maintenance work.Maintains repair and preventative maintenance records and supporting documentationSupport cross-departmental initiatives by responding to technical inquiries and offering engineering insightsOther tasks as assignedMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline with 4+ years of manufacturing/operations experience OR associate’s degree in engineering or an equivalent related technical certification with 6+ years of manufacturing/operations experienceQuality assurance knowledge/experienceEquipment installation and maintenance, electrical engineering applications, and sustaining manufacturing operationsAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teamsStrong knowledge of cGMPs or equivalent standardsCommunicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writingAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlinesStrong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environmentProven ability to independently learn and troubleshoot systems and devices Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in basic MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)Manufacture equipment training related to biopharmaceutical processesBlue Mountain RAM experience or related maintenance softwareUnderstanding of Industrial Automation in Manufacturing Environment Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This role is a full-time and onsite position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. unless otherwise stated by Supervisor. The employee must have the ability to work overtime and/or weekends when necessary.Compensation:We offer competitive compensation packages for this role, including a base salary, performance-based bonuses, and comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.The compensation range for this role is $99,200 - $111,600 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
