Duties
Safely operate forklift trucks, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo lifts, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
Perform order picking with barcode scanning technology to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, updating warehouse management systems (WMS), and maintaining accurate records of materials handled.
Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation, ensuring proper placement of goods, and preparing items for dispatch.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently in compliance with OSHA standards.
Follow warehouse safety protocols diligently during manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or materials requiring special handling procedures.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall operational flow.
Requirements
Proven experience operating forklifts (including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts) and other material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and lift trucks.
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory control procedures.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards in production environments related to forklift operation and materials handling.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking, load & unload processes.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
Basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation accuracy.
Prior experience in warehouse management or supervision is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
