Software Test Engineer - Level 1 or 2 - Dept 02 - 028

*** Only candidates with current TS/SCI clearance will be considered *** *** We are unable to sponsor a clearance at this time *** ** A POLYGRAPH is required for this position ** _________________________________________________________________________________________ JOB DESCRIPTION: Member of a cross-functional team responsible for the development and maintenance of test cases; creation, execution and documentation of manual and automated tests; and working with software engineers, system engineers, platform engineers, system administrators, and other test engineers to validate development and maintenance activities Duties include but are not limited to: Collaborating with software engineers to develop effective strategies and test cases Creating automated testing frameworks and test harnesses Discovering, reporting, and tracking testing defects Analyzing test results and reporting performance, load, and other issues using issues management tool Developing, executing, and maintaining acceptance, integration, and system tests Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life-cycle Perform continuous functional and regression testing DESIRED SKILLS: Experience designing, creating, and executing manual and automated testing solutions including analysis of results to determine adequacy of testing Experience testing in Windows and Linux/CentOS environments Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. behave!, SoapUI, Selenium, JUnit, JRunner, etc.) Experience with web communication protocols, i.e. JSON, REST, SOAP and Scripting languages such as Goovy, Perl, Python,or Ruby Working knowledge of JAVA, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, Public Key Infrastructure, version repositories (such as Git, SVN, CVS, etc.), and SQL Ability to work independently and as part of an Agile development team using superior time management to triage issues and prioritize tasks Able to clearly communicate technical issues and ideas orally and written to superiors and subordinates across all engineering disciplines Creating and managing cronjobs EDUCATON: LEVEL 1: Bachelors degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines is required 4 years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, for a total of 7 years 3+ years of software engineering experience is required LEVEL 2: Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer engineering or in a field related to the computer engineering or computer science disciplines is required 4 years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, for a total of 9 years 5+ years of software engineering experience is required 2+ years’ work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains is required ** You must have TS/SCI Clearance for this position ** ** A POLYGRAPH is required for this position ** BENEFITS: Competitive salary Employer-paid health care 100% (CareFirst – Medical, Dental, and Vision) 401k Safe Harbor Plan – 6% match – Immediately vested 25 days personal time off 11 Federal Holidays Up to 3 Employer Paid Code Red Days (due to weather, shutdown, etc.) $5,000 per year for Training/Personal Development Employer-paid Short-Term Disability/Long Term Disability/Life Insurance/AD&D We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
