Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!Location: Staunton, VA - In-OfficeYour Responsibilities:Plan, organize, direct, and control activities related to the procurement functionPrepare instructions regarding purchasing systems and proceduresAnalyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepare market analysis reportDevelop a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and serviceDesign, implement, manage, and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirementsRecruit and maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conductPrepare and issue purchase orders and change noticesReview purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policyPrepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specificationsOversee all activities related to procurement of a commodity from intent to purchase through delivery of commodityAssign procurement requests to the appropriate personnelNegotiate or supervise the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractorsDevelop and install clerical and office procedures and practices and study workflow, sequence of operations, and office arrangement to determine expediency of installing new or improved office machinesArrange for disposal of surplus materialsYour Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience4-6 years of experienceYour Benefits:Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance401K retirement plan with employer matchPaid time off and company paid holidaysPaid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local lawTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous serviceThe typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $73,300 to $120,700 in VA. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
