Senior Manager, Commercial Data Management & Data Infrastructure

Invenia Group has partnered with a fast-growing biopharma company seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager to lead Commercial Data Management and Data Infrastructure initiatives. This role combines data engineering, cloud infrastructure (Azure), and emerging AI/ML capabilities to support scalable, secure, and insight-driven commercial analytics. The ideal candidate will drive data platform strategy, ensure operational excellence, and enable advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions across the organization.Role Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end management of commercial data sources including EDI (867, 852, chargebacks), CRM, third-party data providers (e.g., IQVIA), and internal systemsPartner with business stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Contracts, Finance) to deliver scalable data solutions and insightsOwn and manage Azure-based data infrastructure Establish and enforce infrastructure best practices including scalability, performance optimization, and disaster recoveryDrive adoption of AI/ML capabilities within commercial data platformsDesign, build, and deploy machine learning models using platforms such as Databricks, Azure ML, or similarArchitect and oversee modern data pipelines using Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and ETL/ELT frameworksLead and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts, and infrastructure specialistsEducation and Experience:10+ years of experience in data engineering, data management, and analyticsStrong expertise in Azure cloud platform (Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Azure AD, etc.)Hands-on experience with Azure administration, configuration, monitoring, and securityProven experience with Azure Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake, DLT pipelines, Genie, AI)Experience working with commercial/pharma datasets (EDI, CRM, IQVIA, Symphony and other third-party data sources)Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL/ELT frameworksExperience with Master Data Management tools (e.g., Reltio)Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Veeva)Strong SQL expertiseExperience with BI tools such as Power BIStrategic thinking with strong execution focusTechnical depth across data, cloud, and AI domainsProblem-solving and analytical mindsetAbility to balance hands-on work with leadership responsibilitiesAdaptability in a fast-evolving technology landscape
