We are seeking a Laborer at our Salt Lake City, UT facility. The Laborer position plays a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for cleaning interior and exterior grounds, performing nondestructive testing, transporting materials, and helping production areas as required. We need an exceptionally well-organized teammate who can effectively multi-task and prioritize while taking the initiative to support the team effectively. This entry-level position provides candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to advance to other areas and positions. What you’ll do Operates forklift and overhead crane to move materials to and from production operations or storage areas. Uses grinder, chipping hammer, wire brush, etc., to clean weld, remove burrs and flux, etc. Prepares materials for painting. Weighs, identifies, and segregates scrap and maintains required records. Uses a cutting torch to cut scrap pieces to size, as necessary. Assists in all production operations when requested or assigned. Operates a beveling machine and punches when directed. Wears protective clothing and respirators (Air filters) when necessary and required by Group Leader/Supervisor What you’ll bring High School Diploma or Equivalent Ability to use a forklift, overhead cranes, chipper, wire brush, power tools. Well-organized and able to adapt and effectively multi-task, prioritize. Must take the initiative and be able to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the team. Must have a valid driver’s license for local deliveries and picking up necessary parts and supplies. Skills and Knowledge Sense of initiative and proactivity Willingness to learn and cross-train in other departments. Attention to detail. Ability to accept feedback and adapt to change.
