Payroll Specialist Paylocity (Bilingual English/Spanish Required)
Payroll SpecialistWe are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with advanced, hands-on expertise in Paylocity to take full ownership of payroll operations.This role is responsible for full-cycle payroll processing and serves as the primary point of accountability for payroll accuracy, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, managing high-volume payroll, and resolving discrepancies in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience processing payroll in Paylocity and be able to manage payroll functions independently.Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this role. The position requires daily communication with employees in both languages, including explaining payroll details, resolving issues, and providing support.Core Payroll ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly multi-state payroll in Paylocity from start to finishReview, audit, and validate timecards, PTO, and pay adjustments prior to payroll submissionEnsure payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulationsMaintain payroll data including earnings, deductions, garnishments, benefits, and tax withholdingsPerform detailed payroll reconciliations and identify discrepancies before finalizing payrollInvestigate and resolve payroll variances, errors, and employee concernsMaintain accurate payroll records and documentation for audits and internal controlsSupport year-end payroll processes including W-2 preparation and auditsCommunicate payroll information clearly and professionally to employees in both English and SpanishAccounting and Financial SupportPrepare and support payroll-related journal entries and general ledger reconciliationsPartner with Accounting to reconcile payroll, benefits, and tax liabilitiesAssist with month-end and year-end close processes related to payrollReview and validate payroll-related invoices and benefit deductionsEnsure alignment between payroll records and financial reportingHR and Administrative Support (Secondary to Payroll)Assist with onboarding and employee data entry in PaylocityMaintain and update employee records ensuring accuracy and complianceSupport benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and terminationsAssist with employee communications related to payroll, benefits, and policiesSupport HR audits, reporting, and documentation as neededParticipate in process improvements related to payroll and HR systemsMinimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable)3 to 5 years of full-cycle payroll processing experienceStrong, hands-on experience using Paylocity in a payroll processing environmentBilingual English/Spanish required.
