Child Care Assistant
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Assistant to support the development and well-being of children in our care environment. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, ensure safety, and foster a nurturing atmosphere that promotes childhood growth. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, contributing to their early childhood education and overall development.
Responsibilities
Assist in supervising and engaging children during play, learning activities, and mealtime
Support classroom management and behavior guidance in accordance with developmental best practices
Provide basic caregiving duties such as diapering, feeding, and assisting with nap times
Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote early childhood development
Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times by adhering to health and safety protocols
Collaborate with lead teachers and caregivers to create a positive and inclusive environment
Support children with special needs or disabilities by applying appropriate caregiving techniques
Maintain cleanliness of the childcare area and assist with routine sanitation procedures
Skills
Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying roles
Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies
First aid certification is preferred to ensure quick response in emergencies
Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or children with disabilities is a plus
Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting children's growth and learning
Classroom experience or experience with caregiving in early childhood settings is highly desirable

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
