Accounting Clerk Salary & BenefitsSalary: $50,000-$60,000 annually (based on experience, education, skills, and market conditions) Schedule: Full-time, onsite Location: Breinigsville, PA manufacturing plant Comprehensive Benefits Include:Medical, dental, vision & wellness programs Telemedicine / virtual healthcare access Optional wellness offerings (pet insurance, chronic condition support) 401(k) retirement plan with 6% dollar-for-dollar employer match 15 paid vacation days + 10 paid holidays Tuition assistance & professional development opportunities Accounting Clerk Job ResponsibilitiesERP, Inventory & Production Reporting Enter production, usage, and inventory data into ERP systems Audit Manufacturing Work Orders (WO) for accuracy and compliance Investigate variances and support corrective actions Train production staff on proper documentation procedures Manage and audit inventory adjustments from cycle counts Assist with physical inventory counts and discrepancy resolution Accounting & Financial Support Support monthly accounting close activities Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and system-generated reports Process daily customer invoicing and accounts payable transactions Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SOX internal controls Assist with routine accounting and financial reporting functions Administrative & Cross-Functional Collaboration Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation Scan, copy, and organize financial and operational files Partner with operations, shipping/receiving, and finance teams Support special projects and administrative tasks as needed Accounting Clerk QualificationsRequired: Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 1-2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, OnBase, or similar) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work additional hours during peak periods or month-end close Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Preferred Attributes: Knowledge of manufacturing accounting and inventory controls Self-motivated and capable of working independently Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Why Work at Silgan Containers?Silgan Containers is a trusted leader in the packaging manufacturing industry, known for stability, innovation, and an inclusive culture.
