Location: 100% Remote US Job Post Title: AWS Cloud Engineer Work Duration: 1 YearsJob Post SummarySeeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to pioneer our transition toward CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing Cloud management frameworks that includes but is not limited to monitoring, alerting, and governance model, budgets and change management, cost optimization lifecycle, show-backs, and charge-back.Maintain and Improve Cloud Usage reporting to measure cloud cost related insights, metrics and KPIs.Pioneer our transition toward CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.Develop automation solutions for Cloud usage using AWS, Python, SQL, and TerraformImplement Snowflake optimizations at warehouse, database level.Coordinate cloud issue resolution with Operation teams.Setup and monitor data shares, snowpipes for Snowflake projects.Communicate with leadership on Cloud usage trends, issues, and optimization techniques.Collaborate with the D&A team to help with Cloud IAM & Role Management.Coordinate with Cybersecurity to adhere to our security guidelines.Participate in the forecasting process; build and improve forecasts and explore trends in cloud spend using internal and external tools.Work on building Cloud Governance documentation.Daily stand-upsCommunicate and collaborate often with each otherWriting SQL queries, synopses, collecting cost data, analysis, presentation to leadership and stakeholdersEnd of month day to day - general cloud and AWS work - tagging, general governance, CICD/Instruction code workshop, deployment of servicesQualificationsRequires a Bachelor Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or any other STEM field.Prefer Graduate School Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or any other STEM field.Certification is a nice to have (Helps with AWS knowledge)5+ years hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.At least 1-2 years of hands-on work experience in the Snowflake Coud environment including role management.Experience across Cloud-based databases such as DynamoDB, Aurora, and RDS.Experience with Python, SQL, and Terraform.Experience with GIT development, deployment, and support of data processes and procedures.Detailed understanding of AWS, Azure, or Snowflake resources (e.g. S3, Glue, Blob, EC2, Containers, etc.)Proven experience and expertise in Cloud operational monitoring and administration.Experience with BI tools.Advanced Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint skills.Ability to write complex SQL to analyze and troubleshoot data anomalies.Strong communicationTime managementPositive attitudeAttention to detailAnalytical mindset, able to speak and work with leaders of all levels, able to explain findings and data in an easy to ingest fashionDatabricks is a high mustSnowflake requiredStrong in AWS is a high mustScripting experience is a must - PythonCloud experience is a high mustSQL experience - Adhoc - BI toolNice to have some sort of finance background
