CNC PROGRAMMER

Akron, OH 44260 Compensation: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Status: Full-Time, Permanent Role Overview We are looking for a skilled CNC Programmer to join a premier manufacturing facility in Akron, Ohio. In this position, you will utilize MasterCAM to develop intricate toolpaths for mills and lathes, streamline production workflows, and maintain high precision standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Core Responsibilities Develop, test, and refine multi-axis CNC programs for mills and lathes using G & M code and MasterCAM. Help reduce cycle times and lower tooling expenses by creating highly efficient machining strategies. Select cost-effective raw materials, custom fixtures, and cutting tools that align with specific project requirements. Provide rapid support to the shop floor by diagnosing and resolving issues related to machine setups, program errors, or tool wear. Create comprehensive setup sheets, tool lists, and standard operating procedures to assist shop machinists. Collaborate with Quality Control to implement advanced measurement technologies and ensure ongoing adherence to ISO standards. Support long-term shop floor growth by mastering new software applications and measurement instrumentation. Required Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience in the industry. At least 3 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining and programming, preferably within an extrusion or manufacturing setting. Advanced proficiency in CAM software, specifically MasterCAM, and CAD platforms like SolidWorks. Expertise in G & M code, combined with the ability to interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T. Strong attention to detail with experience in precision measuring tools and ISO quality management systems.
