We provide daily lunch for some of the hottest startups. We need a Prep Cook who can heat up the kitchen, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is responsive to the needs of our clients.In this role, you will work side by side with an experienced managing chef and sous chef in our commissary kitchen. If you have a desire to learn, are a dedicated and responsible team player, and are looking to cultivate your skills in the kitchen, we want to meet you!What You'll Be DoingSetting up and sanitizing workstations;Following daily prep lists;Measuring ingredients and seasonings, and preparing cooking ingredients to be used in the cooking process.Maintaining clear communication with the executive chef and city manager at all timesKeeping station and work areas clean at all timesTaking ownership of whatever task is at handOur ideal candidateHas worked in previous kitchen roles such prep/dishwasherHas had experience with catering and event servicingHas excellent communication skillsHas a working knowledge of diverse cooking methods, ingredients, and equipmentIs experienced with Google applications (Gmail, Google Drive), Microsoft OfficePerks + benefitsCompensation : $24 per hourCompany-sponsored health insurance plans, including 100% company-paid HDHP, as well as vision + dental opt-in401(k) program after six months of employment80 hours of paid time off with each year of employment; paid company holidays; paid winter breakFree lunch during meal serviceOpportunities to take on larger roles within our organizationEligibility : This position must maintain a ServSafe Food Handler certification;Work environment : This position is based in a commercial kitchen;Physical requirements : Requires the ability to stand for long periods of time; ability to lift objects of up to 50 pounds without assistance; ability to maintain a safe work area in an environment where open flames and sharp objects can pose safety hazards if not handled properlyThe Pay Range For This Role Is24 - 24 USD per hour(Seattle Kitchen)
