Contract ManagerLocation: Onsite in Lake Forest, ILSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM1+ year contractPayrate: $75.00 - $100.00/hrDuration: 7 month contractOverviewWe’re hiring a Contract Manager to support increased contract volume across government, commercial, and supplier agreements.This role is focused on execution—owning contracts end-to-end, reducing backlog, and improving turnaround times. You’ll work independently while collaborating across teams to keep contracts moving efficiently.Responsibilities Manage contracts through the full lifecycle: intake, drafting, negotiation, execution, and close-out Draft, review, and negotiate customer, supplier, and service agreements Handle a high volume of medium-complexity contracts with strong turnaround times Coordinate stakeholders, resolve comments, and drive contracts to completion Government Contracts Support solicitation responses, reps & certs, and compliance documentation Review terms, identify risks, and escalate as needed Commercial & Supplier Contracts Manage customer and supplier agreements independently Identify non-standard terms and propose practical solutions Partner with sales, procurement, and legal to close contracts efficiently Risk & Operations Apply standard playbooks and fallback positions Maintain organized, audit-ready contract records Help reduce backlog and improve contract workflows Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 3–6 years of contract management experience (corporate or in-house legal environment) Experience handling commercial and/or supplier contracts independently Exposure to government contracting (FAR/DFARS a plus) Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume work What We’re Looking For Execution-focused with the ability to drive contracts to completion Comfortable working independently with minimal oversight Strong communicator across cross-functional teams Able to balance speed and risk in a business-focused way Team-oriented and ready to contribute immediately Nice to Have Experience with CLM tools Contract management certification (CPCM, CCCM, etc.) Experience supporting both government and commercial contracting Benefits (employee contribution): Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
