Detrash Portland: South Waterfront
At SOLVE, our mission is simple Bring communities together to improve our environment and build a legacy of stewardship. We do that by facilitating hands-on volunteer opportunities across Oregon and SW Washington that help remove litter and restore native habitat in our natural areas and neighborhoods. The majority of SOLVE events are created and led by local volunteer leaders who have a stake in the health and strength of their community. We also offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities from one-time participation at a local event to leadership roles on a local or regional level. We look forward to connecting with you soon to help care for an outdoor area you love!,Join The Zidell Companies and SOLVE at the South Waterfront for a meaningful community cleanup this Thursday, June 11th, from 10am - 12pm! The event begins at Elizabeth Caruthers Park with check-in, supply distribution, and a brief safety speech, followed by volunteers heading out to collect litter and protect our local environment. Every piece you remove helps keep our parks cleaner, strengthens our local recycling stream, and prevents waste from entering the Willamette River. 🌊 ✨We'll be sharing the space with the South Waterfront Farmers Market, stop by after the cleanup for some local treats! 🫛This is a great opportunity to come together as a community, enjoy scenic views, and make a tangible impact on our environment. This event is part of our ongoing efforts to revitalize downtown through the Detrash Portland series.Thank you to our partner, The Zidell Companies, for making this event possible!Advanced Registration Is highly suggested but not required.
