Join one of our environmental construction / remediation crews with opportunity for growth and cross training today as a: Remediation Site Manager A Site Manager will be responsible for leading a crew of Operators and Technicians to install SVE systems, complete excavation and soil mixing projects, and provide Exceptional Experiences to customers in the Environmental Industry. An ideal candidate for Summit Remediation values accountability and has scouting, former-military, hazardous waste, transportation, construction, drilling, or landscaping experience. Site Manager Responsibilities Provide labor and mechanical support to remediation crew Maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines Operate construction equipment and vehicles safely on high traffic sites Installation of erosion and sediment control materials Ensure safety, compliance, and quality regulations are followed Communicate with Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and Fleet Director to ensure DOT/OSHA Compliance Work closely with Project Manager to procure materials and provide input/feedback on equipment, equipment rentals, and bidding strategies Complete Site Walks for Bid Opportunities Mentor Technicians and Operators to become better professionals Cultivate a culture of respect and accountability within a team of your own Complete dailies, safety tailgate meetings, and log relevant data for day to day and week to week project information Interpret and implement blueprint/specifications provided by Engineer o Provide attentive support to crew with openness to learn new skills and technologies Basic Qualifications High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Construction, Environmental Construction / Remediation, Drilling, and or other applicable experience. Trenching, sloping, and general soil excavation training, knowledge, and experience. The following years of experience: Site Manager: 10+ years of construction and site management experience including extensive time running 100,000lb+ tracking equipment including at least excavator and grading equipment. Preference for experience operating micro- and macro-piling equipment as well as experience with Health & Safety program implementation and client-facing communication. Additional desired areas of experience for Equipment, Heavy Equipment, and Sr. Heavy Equipment Operator includes: Safety compliance and proactive mindset Successful leadership of previous project work Change order and documentation management experience Good communication skills Preferred Qualifications TWIC card and CDL holder preferred. The following safety training is preferred, but not mandatory. [Summit will provide additional training, as necessary.] 40 Hour HAZWOPER training. Competent Person Safety Training 8-Hour Supervisory Training 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety Training First Aid and CPR Heavy equipment operation experience is preferred for Foreman and Site Manager positions. Technicians, Foremen, and Operators should also inquire with the hiring team. Physical Demands & Work Environment This role may require lifting up to 50 pounds where mechanical means are not available, extended standing or walking on project sites, climbing in and out of equipment, and working in confined spaces or at heights. Work conditions and demands may vary, with controlled interaction with heavy machinery, chemicals, dust, fumes, noise, and extreme weather. Proper PPE, including protective eyewear, gloves, a hard hat, and steel-toed boots, is provided. Effective communication, tool use, and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
