Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Highland Heights, Ohio. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and has a strong background in property management and accounting processes. Responsibilities Process invoices with accuracy and ensure proper account coding for timely payments. Manage check runs and ACH transactions to maintain smooth financial operations. Handle invoice coding and resolve discrepancies to ensure compliance with company standards. Collaborate with the property management team to address payment-related issues. Utilize Yardi software to streamline accounts payable processes and maintain accurate records. Monitor vendor accounts and reconcile statements to verify balances and transactions. Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures while processing payments. Prepare reports and documentation related to accounts payable activities. Support month-end closing tasks and provide necessary financial data. Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve inquiries and maintain strong relationships. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role. Proficiency in Yardi software and familiarity with property management accounting. Strong knowledge of ACH transactions, check runs, and invoice coding. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in real estate or property management is highly preferred.
