Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer NTT DATA Services is currently seeking a Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer to join our team in the United States (US). This is a remote position, but you must have the required CICS experience to be considered. A Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer has technical, domain level and specialist skills to ensure that all the engineering services are operated, maintained and constantly upgraded as technology advances. There can be multiple functions within the job involving multiple products and technologies. Including but not limited to programming, support to maintain essential environmental conditions & analysis – creating functional/technical design solutions. The job holder may specialize in a single or combination of those functions/technologies. They will be involved in overseeing the deployment, planning, configuration & testing. For this role the Series CICS Engineer will cover the support and management of all CICS services within the IBM mainframe environment.Responsibilities As a CICS system programmer, you'll need to:Install, administrate, maintain, resource definitions and supporting CICS systems softwareSupport and maintain CICS production including 'out of hours' troubleshootingProvide technical assistance to developers and application support teamsDesign and develop new hardware and software technology solutionsLead and direct problem investigation and recovery in complex situationsInstall and test new versions of CICSProvide 2nd and 3rd Level Support for applications that use CICSEstablish the needs of users and monitor user access and securityMonitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end usersDevelop, manage and test back-up and recovery plansEnsure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctlyEnsure there is provision for data security and recovery control (ensuring all data is retrievable in an emergency)Required Qualifications:10+ CICS System Programmer or Technical Specialist experience10+ Proven knowledge of a combination of the following products: CICS Transaction Server 4.2 and/or 5.3 SMP/E Omegamon/CICS ACF2 & RACFAdditional Qualifications:A flexible and adaptable management style with experience of developing yourself and othersA track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long-term risks and implicationsPreferred Qualification:Mainframe SYSPlex environment experienceAbout NTT DATA:NTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100. The starting pay range for this role is $106,575-$177,625. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position in the USA. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
