Construction Superintendent

CoBeck Construction has an immediate full-time career opportunity for an experienced Superintendent to meet our content workload demands and future growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and extensive knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols and building codes. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring the projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities · Coordinate and oversee all phases of construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and specifications. · Manage on-site construction activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and laborers, to ensure work is performed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project requirements. · Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations. · Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and address any safety concerns promptly. · Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to facilitate project progress and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise. · Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities to maximize project profitability. · Keep detailed records of project activities, including daily reports, progress updates, change orders, and as-built drawings, to ensure accurate documentation and accountability. · Proactively identify and address potential challenges or obstacles to project success, implementing creative solutions to keep projects on track and mitigate risks. · Cultivate strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service, addressing their concerns promptly, and striving to exceed their expectations. · Provide leadership and guidance to on-site personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment conducive to teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth. Requirements and Qualifications · Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing commercial construction projects. · Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as building codes and regulations. · Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire teams to achieve project goals. · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. · proficiency in construction management software and tools, such as Procore, Plan Grid and Microsoft project. · OSHA certification and other relevant safety training are preferred. · Valid driver’s license and willing to travel to project sites as needed. Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (Preferred). 8+ years construction experience. 5+ years field supervision experience. Physical Requirements Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. May require periods of travel and/or relocation. May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold) Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs. Frequent activity: standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above shoulder, pushing, pulling. Occasional activity: sitting, viewing computer screen.
