We are in a significant growth mode and it’s an exciting time to be joining our business!What You’ll Be DoingWe’re looking for an experienced Controls & Instrumentation Lead to help lead and manage a project scope. This role will work directly with the clients to understand the project needs, and help manage and direct the execution of the engineering deliverables.Manage all discipline aspects of projects from inception through executionDevelop and document the scope of workSize and specify instrumentation including pressure and temperature transmitters, flow meters, modulating control valves, regulators, on/off valves, and actuatorsCreate datasheets and work with vendors to get quotes for instrumentation and valves for various applicationsCoordinate with process engineering team to select the appropriate devicesCreate schematics, termination drawings, or loop sheets for instrument wiringDesign custom control panels to meet the project needUnderstand project success criteria and ensure client expectations are metDevelop and track project costs Identify, document, and communicate changes to scopeIdentify and effectively respond to clients issues and needsEnsure value is provided to the client and develop & earn their trustReview and manage all project deliverablesCoordinate and supervise project implementation, control project costs, monitor progress and quality of the projectYour Ideal BackgroundThe successful candidate should have an entrepreneurial spirit, and be excited by opportunities to add value to our clients with Jedson’s engineering expertise. Strong communication skills, collaboration and courage to challenge the status quo are cornerstones of the Jedson Edge.B.S. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering10+ years of related experience in project engineering, including EPC or engineering firm experienceExperienced Instrumentation engineer on major capital projects from the study phase, detailed design, construction support, check out and start-up.Oversees project execution to ensure completion and client satisfactionDemonstrated experience in driving projects within budget from initiation through a successful and timely conclusionKnowledge of front-end engineering and detailed engineering processStrong interpersonal skills to build and foster positive client relationshipsWorking knowledge of AutoCADPLC Programming is a plus
