Resident Engineer

Your New Opportunity
Managing multiple municipal engineering construction projects and/or a single, large-scale project
Reviewing design and bidding documents
Engineering observation of construction progress to ensure compliance with plans/specifications
Approving change orders, invoices and payment applications
Communicating and coordinating with design engineers and municipal officials
Your Background and Credentials
Associate's or bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field preferred
A minimum of 5+ years experience working in construction engineering and inspection experience including roadway and/or underground construction is required
An active PE or EIT license in the state of Illinois is preferred
IDOT certifications preferred
Experience with Microsoft products, specifically Word and Excel, is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and relationship building skills
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
