Responsible for timely completion of daily procedures and paperwork they are assigned. Tech is also responsible for assigned vehicle care and maintenance.Requires excellent communication skillsSelf-motivated, task-driven, and able to apply best practices theoryStrong problem-solving skillsAbility to create in the field solutionsAbility to use hand and power toolsDevelop and maintain proficiency in the following areas:Advanced knowledge of residential low voltage installation procedures and guidelinesAdvanced knowledge of:Audio/Video systemsHome network systemsControl/Automation systemsLuma camera surveillance systemsNew construction pre-wire and existing home wiringAdvanced troubleshooting of audio/video and control systemsStrong programming of Control 4, Savant, Araknis and Luma systemsAdvanced understanding of multi-room A/V and Control systems and setupUnderstanding of security system installation, programming and designTech 2 or better certifications (or obtain within 6 months of hire)Completion of ProSource University within the first year of employmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsHighly detailed, organized, and multitask drivenAbility to work on rotating on-call service scheduleProficient in all Lead level qualificationsAssist in training and evaluation of up to Lead level techniciansExcellent skills with desktop and mobile computingClean driving record and background check (required for DCJS certification)Minimum of 2 years of field experienceThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this classification.
