Patient Care TechnicianThe Patient Care Technician takes direction from the registered nurse. The main functions are to maintain a safe, clean environment in patient rooms and service areas, assist licensed personnel with basic patient needs and monitoring health and vital signs.QualificationsEducation & Experience:High School graduate or equivalent.Qualified candidates must meet one of the following: Previous experience as a nurse aide/residential aide/patient aide with experience in supporting patients' activities of daily living and vital signs.Completion of a nurse aide, multi-skilled tech or patient care tech course(s).Completion of one clinical semester in an LPN/RN programWork Requirements:6 months 1-year experience preferredMust be enrolled in College Level classesThis position is a per-diem, non-benefit eligible position which requires employees to work a minimum of 32 hours in a 6-month period between January 1 and June 28 and July 1 and December 31.There is 1 weekend shift required during each period.Education and Training does not count towards my periodic work commitmentCertification/Licensure:Current American Heart Association BLS required.Welle Training (computer and classroom) within six months of hire.
