Driver Associate

Job Summary:Driver Associates efficiently deliver our products to our customer accounts in a courteous, professional, compliant, safe and timely manner. Drivers use a multitude of methods including manual lifting, dumping, and/or moffett unloading in multi-temperature environments.Supervisory Responsibilities:NoneEssential Job Functions:Delivers lumber, hardware and building materials to customer's job site;Reloads pickups of lumber, hardware and building materials onto truck from job site and returns them to lumberyard;Inspects truck before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition;Assists workers in loading and unloading trucks; Inspects delivered products for quality and damaged appearance at time of delivery;Ensures all shipping documents and receipts are properly completed;Maintains driver log according to state and federal regulations;Uses straps to secure cargo during transit;Maintains good company image by presenting a clean and neat appearance while delivering merchandise to customers;Assists customers and stocks merchandise consisting of lumber and building materials when not on deliveries;Stacks lumber in yard or in shed;Builds loads;Performs other duties as requiredRequirementsRequired Skills and Abilities:Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.Ability to remain focused in busy environment.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDAt least two year related experience.MO Class E or KS Class C Driver's LicenseSafety Requirements:Wears high visibility, safety PPE, and proper uniformPerforms daily vehicle inspectionsSafely operates equipmentPromptly report all accidents/incidents and damaged productsReport any malfunctioning equipmentWe are EOE/M/F/V/D and pre-employment drug test required.Applicants must be able to show proof that they are legally eligible to work in the United States.
