All roles have an opportunity for career advancement once full time with our client and provide excel-lent benefits to their full-time Job Summary The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing contract administration, claim management, and commercial risk management throughout the lifecycle of complex engineering and construction projects. Reporting to the Owner Project Director, this role plays a critical part in ensuring contractual compliance, protecting project profitability, and minimizing commercial risk exposure. Job Description Participate in the Front-End phase of projects by providing guidance on contract operability and risk considerations during negotiationsDevelop and manage the Contract Management Plan (CMP) to ensure contractual awareness across project teamsPlan and implement contract and claim management strategies throughout project executionMonitor and manage commercial risks and opportunities, especially related to project deviations, cost impacts, and schedule changesEducate and mentor project team members regarding contractual obligations, notices, and compliance requirementsEstablish and maintain claim management logs, tracking tools, and supporting documentationFacilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams and stakeholdersSupport the Project Manager in managing contractual communications, negotiations, and client relationshipsCollaborate with engineering, procurement, subcontracting, and project controls teams to minimize liability exposure and protect project profitabilitySupport development and substantiation of claims related to cost and schedule impacts involving clients, subcontractors, and vendorsAssist Legal and Procurement teams with client and vendor claims managementProvide support for reimbursable contract administration, including invoicing of labor hours and project expenses in accordance with contract requirementsSupport audits and internal quality assurance processes Skills Required Minimum 5-10 years of related contract management experienceExperience supporting engineering, construction, industrial, or plant-related projects preferredStrong understanding of contract forms, contract management principles, and claim management proceduresExperience with contract management tools and commercial risk management processesBasic technical understanding of plant engineering and project executionKnowledge of scheduling, project progress tracking, and critical path conceptsExperience reviewing and challenging cost estimates and supporting claims analysisExcellent verbal and written English communication skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively across multiple disciplines, organizations, and contract types, including government-related contractsProficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applicationsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment Preferred Attributes: Strong commercial awareness and attention to detailAbility to influence and build collaborative relationships across teamsProactive and solution-oriented mindsetHigh level of professionalism, accountability, and integrityAdaptability and flexibility in supporting evolving project and contract needs Education Highschool diploma or GED Pay Rate $52.50 - $62.50 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors) Additional Requirements Combination of office and project site environmentRequired PPE may include hard hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and high-visibility vest in accordance with site safety requirementsMinimal lifting requirements (up to 10 lbs.)No driving or work-at-height requirements associated with this role HireResource Staffing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
