As needed handwork, assembly and kitting to produce quality product in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. This is a great opportunity to either start out in the workforce or learn a new skill set .Experience Required:Capability to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to multi-taskAptitude to produce high quality work and pay close attention to detailFamiliarity with manufacturing paths and Company equipmentAble to use a variety of factory machinery, hand tools, and computers to complete their piece of the assembly processAble to read and understand Excel spreadsheetsJob Duties and General Expectations: Follow team leader instructions for handwork, assembly and kitting processes efficiently and accuratelyRead and speak EnglishAbility to work with a team and/or independentlyWork safelyComfortable with aspects of the handwork and kitting workflowFamiliar with general aspects of Printing, Bindery and Mailing workflowFull understanding of PACE, data collection and how to cost centerAbility to perform monotonous work at a fixed rate of speed for long periods of time while remaining focused and minimizing mistakesAbility to work quickly and with minimal direct supervisionOperate material handling equipment including: pallet jacks, utility carts and hand trucksLift, handle, load, and unload productsPrepare products for shippingAssemble, attach, and/or make partsAlert Assembly Lead of supply concernsEnsure line and work area is clean and leave line ready for next run set-upAbility to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods of timeCommunication: Escalates functional and process failures to the appropriate support groups and leadersCapable to develop and follow non-verbal communication (visual management: signs, work place organization, and pictures)Motivation: Ability to learn quickly and self-motivatedPositive energy and attitudePoise when confronted with sudden setbacks or stressful situationsWillingness to operate in a dynamic environment and team structureQuality: Demonstrated ability to perform standardized work process and defined work instructionsUnderstands and ensures adherence to required procedures and processesTime Management: Ability to work at a pace required to produce measurable resultsEducation: High School Diploma or GEDPowered by JazzHR
