Low Voltage Apprentice

Overview We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Apprentice to join our team, responsible for assisting in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of low voltage systems with a Low Voltage Technician. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge in low voltage systems including security, fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and telecommunications. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects in security, surveillance, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems. This position is essential for ensuring the safety and security of our clients' facilities through expert system installation and maintenance. Duties Assist in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing low voltage systems including CCTV, alarm systems, fire alarms, security systems, and access control. Assist in conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems to ensure optimal performance. Learn to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for system design and installation. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations and repairs. Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various tools and equipment. Familiarity with computer and programs to include MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook. Knowledge of cabling techniques for low voltage systems. Background in construction is beneficial Ability to work independently in the field while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
