Health Information Director (Salina)

Job Title: Health Information DirectorLocation: Salina, KSShift: Full-Time, Day Shift (Monday–Friday, Variable Hours)Pay Rate: $42.00 - $65.00/hour ($90,000 - $135,000 annually based on experience)Responsibilities:Lead and manage all Health Information Management department operations.Oversee medical record processing, coding, indexing, transcription, filing, storage, and release of information.Ensure accuracy and timeliness of acute and ambulatory coding processes.Maintain compliance with health information policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.Supervise department staff and support workflow improvements.Manage physician suspension processes and records maintenance.Coordinate trauma registry and information retrieval functions.Communicate effectively with leadership and healthcare staff regarding department operations.Ensure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and health information regulations.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Science or related field required (or active plan to complete degree).Minimum 5 years of management/supervisory experience required.Minimum 5 years of medical coding experience required.RHIT certification required.RHIA certification highly preferred.Experience with HIPAA regulations preferred.Kansas state licensure/certification requirements applicable.
