As our family expands, we live and work by our core values: integrity, excellence, trust, caring, tradition, and innovation.This position is based in our Lombard and Schaumburg offices as the Medical Assistant travels daily to the office where the physician sees patients; local travel may be required to other locations within your assigned geographic region.Practice Operations ManagerWe are looking for a Medical Assistant to work alongside the physician and assist with patient care. This includes taking basic vital signs, preparing the room, verifying patient information, assisting with in-office procedures, and scheduling the patient's next appointment. The Medical Assistant will also help manage the patient's schedule and assist with office duties.Interview patients to gather medical history and update medical recordsGather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulsePrepare treatment rooms and patients for examSterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure traysManage medical supplies and materials and work with their operational leader to order necessary inventoryTake x-raysPerform administrative tasks and become cross-trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support when needed.Other duties are to support the physician and team with patient care activities.High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferredMedical Assistant certification with 2 years in a healthcare position desiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsCommitted to continuous performance improvementPatient-focused with the ability to work independentlyCapability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environmentMonday - FridayLocal travel may be required to locations within your assigned geographic region. This role will be assigned to cover a geographic area; however, you may be required to occasionally travel outside of your assigned regional area to support the other regional coverage needs of the organization.
