Job Description PURPOSE OF JOB :To collect, accession and process specimens according to policy, under the direction and supervision of the Laboratory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :40% 1. Collects appropriate blood specimens according to Specimen Collection Manual and ReferenceLaboratory Manuals.40% 2. Accessions all specimens and resolves problems connected with test orders.10% 3. Provides quality customer service.5% 4. Cross trains in other non-phlebotomy skills to help out in the Laboratory. Goes to OutreachFacilities to collect or pick up Laboratory specimens5% 5. Promotes patient safety by compliance with Organizational/Departmental policies and procedures as well as all regulatory agencies.Job QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS :Education: High School Diploma or equivalentB. Experience: Phlebotomy experience preferredC. Other Skills: Must have driver's license, vehicle in good operating condition and proof of adequate automobile insurance, BLS Certification required, excellent interpersonal and team building skills
