They are looking for an outstanding individual to join the team located at the Pilot Plant in El Segundo, CA as a Production Operator.As a Production Operator, you will play a key supporting role in the production and packaging process of delicious products. You will handle and monitor product and equipment, ensure that everything is running smoothly, and be a safe, productive, and valued team member.Tasks, Duties, & General ResponsibilitiesUnder Supervisor guidance, perform daily production activities and operate equipment while maintaining a safe, high-quality, high-volume manufacturing environmentMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including sweeping, gathering trash, and other janitorial duties as assignedPrepare machinery and tools for sanitation, and/or assist with breakdown and cleaning of machineryOperate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer product from warehouse to production to freezer (per business need)Ensure equipment is maintained in clean, good, and safe working condition and recommend improvements to ensure safety, quality, and production capacityAssist in assembling and verifying all machinery is set up and ready for production daily and set to spec for operationsPrepare workstations, gather required tools, and retrieve daily batch sheets from Lead/SupervisorsFollow all Food Safety policies in ensuring safety and quality of productKnow how to verify ingredients are within spec of customer and government regulationHelp junior Production Operators in their assigned responsibilitiesRecommend and support development and process improvements to enhance operational safety and efficiencyIdentify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor or leader immediatelyFollow all company policies and procedures, safety procedures, food safety guidelines, and Good Manufacturing Practices beyond regulatory needsPerforms other duties, as assigned, and follows through on requests in a timely mannerQualificationsEducation, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:High school diploma or GEDManufacturing experience, especially food manufacturing experience, is preferredProblem solving skills and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to comprehend and follow instructionsAbility to understand and follow safety rules and Good Manufacturing PracticesTeamwork and a positive attitude are essential to maintain a culture of cooperation and respectMust be able to work individually in a team environmentMust be punctual and dependableFlexibility to work any/all shifts to support a high growth work environmentWORK ENVIRONMENTWarehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
