This is a small-business environment with a loyal team, long-tenured employees, and a strong opportunity for the right salesperson to make an immediate impact.THE JOBOur client is hiring a Commercial Sales Manager to help grow commercial revenue while also supporting residential estimate appointments. This is a hands-on outside sales role for someone who enjoys getting into the market, meeting customers face-to-face, building relationships, and turning practical service needs into repeat business.The current weekly structure includes approximately three days focused on commercial business development and two days focused on residential in-home estimates. Over time, the goal is for this person to build the commercial side strongly enough that the role can become even more commercially focused.In this role, you will sell to a mix of homeowners and commercial customers, including property managers, contractors, architects, hotels, senior living facilities, schools, hospitals, apartment communities, and facility managers. The right person will be comfortable running estimate appointments, prospecting new accounts, reactivating past relationships, following up consistently, and building a book of business.This is not an order-taking role. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, field-oriented, accountable, and excited by the opportunity to help rebuild and grow a commercial sales function.Responsibilities include:Run residential in-home estimate appointments approximately two days per weekProspect and develop commercial accounts across the Denver Metro areaBuild relationships with property managers, contractors, architects, hotels, senior living facilities, schools, hospitals, apartments, and facility managersReactivate past customers and existing local market relationshipsConduct site visits and understand customer project needsPresent refinishing solutions as a faster, lower-disruption alternative to replacement or remodelingPrepare and follow up on proposalsDevelop recurring commercial account opportunitiesMaintain consistent sales activity, follow-up, and pipeline disciplineCoordinate with the general manager and operations team after the saleRepresent the company professionally in homes, commercial facilities, and construction-adjacent environmentsHelp shape and grow the company's long-term commercial sales function THE QUALIFICATIONSIdeal candidates will bring:Proven outside sales, territory sales, business development, or field sales experienceExperience prospecting and developing new business, not just managing inbound leadsComfort meeting customers in person and selling face-to-faceExperience in construction, home improvement, restoration, coatings, flooring, roofing, HVAC, plumbing, remodeling, property services, facilities services, or another blue-collar/commercial service industryAbility to build relationships with practical, hands-on buyers such as contractors, property managers, facility managers, technicians, and homeownersStrong follow-up habits and closing abilityAbility to work independently without constant supervisionComfort being measured against sales activity, pipeline, close rate, and revenue goalsStrong communication skills and professional presenceAbility to manage both shorter residential sales cycles and longer commercial relationship-based opportunitiesValid driver's license and comfort driving locally throughout the Denver Metro areaStrong pluses include:Experience selling to property managers, general contractors, architects, hotels, senior living facilities, schools, hospitals, apartments, or facility managersExperience selling estimate-based or proposal-based servicesExperience building recurring commercial accountsExperience in a small-business or entrepreneurial environmentLeadership presence or future player-coach potentialThis may not be the right fit for someone who only wants pre-set appointments, prefers inside sales, has only sold software or financial products, or does not want to prospect in the field.THE BENEFITSCompensation is expected to include a base salary around $50,000 plus commission, with realistic first-year earnings around $125,000 for a strong performer.
