Associate Data Scientist
Overview:
In this role you will build AI-powered solutions to accelerate Sales and Marketing productivity within Gartner's Marketing Technology team. You'll partner with Product Owners, engineers, and data scientists to transform prospecting for Gartner's 7,000+ sales associates. You will design and deploy LLM-based agents, apply NLP/Generative AI, and prototype scalable solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You will stay at the cutting edge of AI and help transition pilots into production. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Large Language Model (LLM)-based agents that automate workflows
- Apply NLP and Generative AI to derive actionable insights from data
- Design, test, and optimize prompts, retrieval strategies, and agent workflows for performance and scalability
- Build recommendation solutions such as prospect interest prediction and personalized outreach recommendations
- Rapidly prototype AI capabilities, evaluate impact, and transition pilots to production
- Partner with Product Managers, business stakeholders, and engineers to translate needs into scalable solutions
- Stay current on machine learning, Generative AI, and agentic systems to bring new ideas to the team
Key requirements:
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field 1+ years of experience applying data science and ML techniques
- Experience with Python, SQL, statistical analysis, and databases
- Curiosity and growth mindset with strong interest in Generative AI and MLStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments
- Ability to communicate technical concepts and connect solutions to business outcomes
- Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval techniques, model evaluation, or agent orchestration is a plus
