Job DescriptionStarting Pay: $19.00The Taco Attendant prepares and assembles menu items with consistency, accuracy, and attention to quality while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. This role supports daily kitchen operations by following standard recipes, ensuring proper food handling, and delivering friendly guest interaction at the taco station. The position contributes to exceptional dining experiences through precise preparation, teamwork, and adherence to culinary standards.Responsibilities Prepare all taco station menu items according to standard recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation expectations. Ensure meats, fish, and other ingredients are cooked to proper temperatures and handled safely. Assist with production of sauces, garnishes, soups, and other components as directed by Cook III or the Venue Chef. Organize and prioritize prep and production tasks to meet service deadlines. Maintain open communication with Cook I, Cook III, and culinary leadership to support smooth operations. Provide clear direction and guidance to Cook I team members when needed. Gather all necessary ingredients and tools for recipe execution and maintain a fully stocked station. Interact with guests in a friendly, informative manner, ensuring a positive and engaging experience. Follow all health department regulations, time and temperature control rules, and hand‑washing guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection‑ready workstation throughout the shift. Support food cost control procedures and uphold quality standards. Ensure safety and security for guests and team members by following proper equipment and kitchen protocols. Perform additional duties or special assignments as required.Qualifications Proficiency in all Cook II responsibilities and foundational Cook I skills. Ability to read and write for recipe execution, labeling, and basic documentation. Previous cooking experience required; culinary coursework or certification preferred. High school diploma or GED preferred. Strong guest service skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests. Knowledge of PPE usage, sanitation laws, and safe food‑handling practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to complete all required company training programs. Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules as needed. Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests and team members.Additional Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout a high‑volume kitchen environment. Ability to work in environments with heat, steam, cold storage, noise, and variable temperatures. Ability to safely handle knives, hot equipment, cleaning chemicals, and kitchen tools. Ability to work efficiently under time pressure and frequent interruptions. Compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and Colorado Division of Gaming regulations.
