Office Assistant
Lehigh Structural Components, LLC. is a commercial and residential truss design and manufacturing company located in Bethlehem, PA. We are currently seeking a full-time Office Assistant that can work in our busy, fast-paced environment. This individual must be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize responsibilities, exhibit high levels of accuracy, and conduct themselves with integrity.
Essential Functions:
· Maintenance of customer files and records
· Investigating and resolving customer account inquiries or irregularities
· Posting cash, checks, and credit card transactions to our in-house customer accounts and following established procedures for processing receipts
· Producing reports for management as needed
· Resolving collections by calling about outstanding invoices as well as examining customer payment plans, payment history, and credit lines
· Generating invoices and account statements
· Processing new credit applications and creating new customer accounts
· Setting up customer job accounts while looking up properties and verifying ownership
· Answering phones
· Assistance with safety and human resources responsibilities
Skills
· Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Must have general bookkeeping and accounting skills
· Must be proficient with Quickbooks, Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, as well as other computer programs)
· Needs to have strong math and analytical skills
· Must be able to multi-task and complete work assignments in a timely manner
· Must work well in a team environment
· Needs to be organized
Experience/Education
· High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's/Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field from an accredited higher education institution or equivalent experience preferred
· Three or more years of relevant experience as an office assistant or related function
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods within requirements of work schedule
· Must be able to perform work on computer within requirements of work schedule
· Must be able to type, read, and write proficiently
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion
Work Environment
Work is primarily performed in an office environment within our main manufacturing facility
On occasion, work may need to be performed outside of the office in our manufacturing facility; these areas are not climate controlled and are subject to variable temperatures/weather conditions
