This role supports complex cloud environments by leveraging modern DevOps tools and practices, collaborating across teams to solve technical challenges.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supporting Azure cloud services and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templatesTroubleshooting and resolving issues related to Azure cloud environments while implementing Azure security best practicesLeveraging Azure data services such as Azure Monitor, Azure Logging Analytics, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, and Azure Policy to ensure security posture and complianceWriting and maintaining automation scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI and executing them using services such as Logic Apps, Azure Automation, and Azure FunctionsConfiguring network security groups (NSGs), application gateways, and other network controls to protect cloud resourcesManaging Azure compute, storage, networking, and database servicesApplying security best practices and compliance standards while collaborating effectively across teams to address complex technical needsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or 4+ additional years of IT experience in lieu of a degree7+ years of experience in cloud computing with a primary focus on Microsoft AzureExperience designing and deploying Azure-based solutions, and working with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitProficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, or BICEPFamiliarity with cloud template technologies including Azure Resource Manager, GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, and/or architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or ZachmanExperience automating workflows using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, JSON, or AnsibleDoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CND, SSCP) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hirePreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and experience with other cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud PlatformFamiliarity with the Atlassian tool suite, specifically JIRA and ConfluenceUnderstanding of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS)-199, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-53A, NIST SP 800-37, and DoD Cloud Security Requirements GuideMicrosoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Solutions Expert in Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, or Azure Solutions Architect ExpertClearance Requirements:An active TS/SCI with Polygraph.Physical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
