Ready Mix Driver

divh2Ready-Mix Driver/h2pAs a valued member of our team, you will be working for our well-established, medium-sized construction materials company with multiple production plants throughout California. The Ready-Mix Driver is responsible for driving a truck equipped with a concrete mixer to deliver concrete mix to job sites. The role requires the driver to operate the truck in a safe and efficient manner, following and adhering to all applicable Federal State laws./ppPaid training is available for candidates that have a Class A or B license with air brake and tank endorsements. To qualify, you must be able to drive manual transmission trucks (no automatic restriction on your license). Starting pay is $32.00 per hour after paid training./ph3Benefits:/h3ulliPPO/HMO Health Insurance, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life/liliPTO (Paid Time Off)/lili401k Retirement Plan/liliOvertime pay/liliDirect Deposit/liliTraining Program/liliStrong Safety Program/liliEmployee Assistance Program/liliEmployee Referral Bonus/li/ulh3Essential Functions:/h3ulliDrive truck safely and timely to location for unloading./liliDrive truck under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water and starts mixer./liliMove levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute into wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete./liliPerform all duties assigned by management in a timely manner./liliPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and reports repairs to personnel./liliAssemble, disassemble, lift, and carry chutes./liliClean truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck./liliMaintain a clean vehicle, always cleaning it while on duty (spray surfaces of truck with water and protective compounds for cleaning purposes), on company time./liliMonitor trucks and other company equipment to ensure appearance, safety, and proper maintenance levels./liliMaintain accurate work and driving records of daily activities./liliMaintain a high level of customer service through courteous and effective communication with dispatchers, plant management, other drivers, contractors, and customers./li/ulpNon-Essential Duties:/pulliAssist in yard functions, lifting materials and operating yard equipment./liliAttend safety and other training meetings as required./li/ulpCore Competencies:/pulliAble to communicate effectively with other staff./liliAble to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals./liliA strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines./li/ulpPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work:/ppThis is a full-time position.
