Structural Engineer

Overview NELSON is currently looking for a Structural Engineer with 5-15 plus years’ experience to join their team supporting multi-discipline projects. Responsibilities Capable of managing and directing junior engineers and designers. Produce a complete design package with minimum oversight. Develop detailed plans and drawings per project specifications. Industrial and Offshore design experience required. Field experiences a plus. Perform computer aided design. Create calculations, checking and other design tasks. Qualifications BS Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis from an accredited university. MS degree is desirable. Professional Engineer License or Engineer in Training Certificate a plus. 5-15 plus years of experience in industrial, oil & gas and/or marine structures. Knowledge of U.S. Codes and standards required. Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision and direction. Software (MS Office, Teams, structural analysis programs), Risa/SACS preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Professional and detail oriented.
