POSITION OVERVIEWTITLE: Instructional FacilitatorLOCATION: TBD based on position availabilitySTATUS/FLSA: Full-time / ExemptPAY SCHEDULE/GROUP: Teacher Salary ScheduleDIRECT REPORTS: Full-time: (0); Part-time (0 )SUPERVISOR: PrincipalTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 190 DaysEVALUATION: Performance evaluated by the Principal.GENERAL DESCRIPTIONTo assist the principal in the continuous improvement of the instructional program.ESSENTIAL DUTIESAssist in the establishment of goals, objectives, and strategies to promote improvement in student achievement, effective instruction, test scores, parental and community support and professional development.Provide leadership in determining and meeting the educational needs of students.Assist in the observation of personnel and facilitate professional development for teachers.Assist in the planning and implementation of building-level staff development for assigned personnel.Assist in the planning, implementation, and supervision of the instructional program and support services.Assist in the development of public relations programs to further the community's understanding and support of the educational programs.Assist in the development, revision, and evaluation of school curriculum.Present best practices through sharing sessions or demonstration lessons.Facilitate grade level planning.Facilitate the implementation of the Anderson Five Curriculum.Integrate effective use of technology in classroom instruction.Stay current with District Initiatives and take a leadership role in supporting the Initiatives.Explain test data to teachers.Plan and work cooperatively with district instructional staff and school administration to ensue a well coordinated curriculum. There will be other duties as assigned.Assist in the selection and mentoring of staff.Communicate and demonstrate research-based instructional practices that result in increased student performance.Assist in the observance of teachers and provide feedback.Prepare required documents and reports.Participate in staff development.
