Senior Landscape ArchitectNew York, NYAbout the OpportunityA design-led, internationally recognised landscape architecture practice is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join its New York studio. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role within a collaborative environment, contributing to high-profile urban, public realm, and infrastructure projects across the U.S. and internationally.Position OverviewAs a Senior Landscape Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of complex projects while supporting studio leadership and growth. You’ll manage teams, oversee technical quality, and act as a key interface with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders.What You’ll Be DoingProject Leadership & Delivery Lead projects through all design and construction phases Oversee design quality, technical documentation, and project outcomesProject & Client Management Manage client relationships and act as a primary point of contact Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants and project stakeholdersStudio Leadership Support studio operations, mentoring, and team development Contribute to recruitment, business development, and strategic initiativesDesign Oversight & Collaboration Participate in design reviews, critiques, and project kick-offs Provide guidance and peer review across project teams, including international workWhat We’re Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience 10+ years’ experience in landscape architecture or related practice Proven track record leading projects from concept through delivery Strong design, technical, and project management capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skillsQualificationsDegree in Landscape Architecture or a related fieldProfessional licensure in New York State (or ability to obtain)Technical SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative SuiteExperience with 3D modelling tools (e.g. Rhino, SketchUp, Lumion)Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Revit/BIM beneficialDesirable ExperienceExperience delivering civic or infrastructure projects, particularly in NYCFamiliarity working with public agencies and large-scale clientsInternational project exposure (e.g. Middle East, Asia)Strong knowledge of construction documentation, materials, and planting designExperience leading large, multidisciplinary teams
