Asset Protection (AP) Technician

Job DescriptionThe AP Technician role is an onsite, hourly shift role responsible for deploying asset protection and safety support to their respective location and reports through the Asset Protection Department. This position is critical to ensuring the protection, safety and wellbeing of our Team Members, facilities, product and equipment. Strategies include but are not limited to: CCTV, burglar alarm, fire alarm, access control, inventory management controls, auditing and life safety checks. It is imperative that this position can partner internally to ensure site specific safety & security measures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesMust be organized and detail orientedAbility to be proficient in WMS and understand all aspects of inventory movement in a DC.Can be proficient in PowerBi, Microsoft Excel, MS-Outlook, MSWord.Self-motivated, work autonomously, and be highly effective with time management skillsStrong partnership, interpersonal and collaboration skillsPerform assigned role with an expected level of credibility & integrityHave a passion for auditing, checking with high attention to detailAbility to learn Security and Inventory Control activities. Including but not limited to CCTV, burglar and fire alarms, safes, locks and key controls, inventory management and inventory audit measurementsFamiliar with Life Safety devices and jurisdiction requirementsAptitude for seeing problems, collecting data and deciphering factsRecommended Experience/TrainingWarehouse Management Systems (WMS)Experience with RF scanning devicesOffice 365 suite of toolsWork history showing good attendance and zero work function disciplinary actionsAt least 1 year working for AAP or previous work experience in a warehouse/distribution security,Minimum RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)/Home school equivalencyEligible to work in the United StatesPass extensive background checkAbility to work on various shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays as neededRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manualsBasic math, including add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Candidates with previous security, safety and/or warehouse exposure are preferredPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
